Well well, it's certainly been a while my dear journal.

Let's see, the last time I updated was *checks posts* oh yeah, me being a criminal and having to touch a mac. In case anyone was dying to find out the result, I received the gift of 3 whole points and am £60 out of pocket. Also, I had to touch many more macs.

Since then, I've been up to the usual... whatever it is that I do. But for now, I shall keep ye all in deep suspense... I retire to bed. But never ph34r, as with the majority of life's problems, solutions are best served with amusing pictures! :D

8:30PM - whoopie! it's here!

Perhaps not the appropriate enthusiasm but the NIP (Notice of Intended Prosecution) came through the post several days ago. It turned out that if they had waited for over 14 days, they would have no right to prosecute me - but alas, 'twas only 7.

Now, this is what the letter says: "Hey, your car going through a red light, please tell us who was driving at the time". But really, the Met are saying: "Ha! You were caught, bitch! 0WN3D!!!1!1".

What'll happen next is they'll send another form, letting you either a) admit fault and face the penalty or b) challenge the matter in court, thus facing a larger penalty and wasting time and patience over the case.

I'll keep you all updated as I'm sure my audience is as vast as the oceans.

(I tried to censor my personal information but if you really want, you can make out the stuff printed on the back)

9:47PM - blah....

Alright, about two days ago I ran a red light whilst driving and I may have been caught.

Blah...

This is crap and it's making me feel down, I don't really care about getting a fine, or getting points on my license, or even paying a higher insurance premium. Getting caught was fair play, I'm just annoyed at myself for doing that. There was no real hurry, so what made me do it? It wasn't particularly dangerous or thrilling - that's just dumb?

Blah...

I'll post my conviction notice when it arrives.

10:56PM - update?

I really ought (is that a word?) to update, but i'm too lazy.

I know, to kill two birds with one stone, here's a picture which serves for your amusement and for my explanation.

I seem to have permanent eyebags, that's how tired I always feel. IT kinda makes me look like a druggie on a Monday morning, sorta cool but anyways... I'll put some effort into a real update next time.

5:43PM - car troubles

argh, my car got rear-ended AGAIN!

it hapenned during my drive to work in the morning, i pulled up behind a BMW at some traffic lights, about to put on the handbrake then KABLAMOOO! i was hit by a new rover 75 (wtf? aren't they out of business yet?!). since it hapenned before the handbrake was engaged, i ended up hitting the car in front.

i pulled up and checked the driver in front was ok. he had a quick look and drove off - god bless impatient BMW drivers (well, there was no damage anyway). i went to check the rover driver behind me only to find him on the mobile... blegh... i wrote my details on a borrowed piece of paper, this took me 2 minutes and in the meantime, HE WAS STILL ON THE MOBILE! so, 5 minutes later, he got off the phone and we exchanged details. quite amusing in that he didn't actually know what car he was driving, he needed to refer to his manual for "Rover 75 Silver".

but anyways, damage seems to be minimal so i'm leaving it for a few days to see if anything got knackered. this is the second time during my short driving career! >:)

12:22PM - da France

I took a little time off work to go on a tour with parents and my sister this week, actually, they didn't want to go on their own so I tagged along to bum around Paris :)

have some pics

le more? )

Overall i thought that the Dutch and French (they speak french in Brussels) are all generally nice people (apart from the kids). the only fat people i saw were british tourists and american tourists are by far, the most obnoxious. there was this one guy who held a cigar, held a convosation with the whole street and kept repeating the same god damed joke.

anyways, i'm back now :D
